Hey guys, it’s Ray from Love RV and Boat. I wanted to give you an update on our December adventures. Around the USA Thanksgiving, we visited the Trona Pinnacles in California. It was peaceful, and we enjoyed clear, starry skies. From there, we moved to the Salton Sea for a week. Along the way, we had an overnight stop near Amboy Crater on Route 66 and a spontaneous stay at Joshua Tree National Park, snagging a spot in one of the first-come campgrounds.

In Joshua Tree, we hiked and soaked up the desert scenery. Then, we headed to Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge, where we did some bird watching and spotted a cute burrowing owl. It was a special time as we celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and Anne’s birthday. We’ve spent the last few Christmases and New Years in some BLM land near Ajo, Arizona, and this year is no different. We’re currently camped here, enjoying the quiet desert surroundings and making the most of our time together.

As we prepare for the New Year, we’ve been stocking up on supplies in the nearby towns, dealing with a minor dental issue for Anne. I’ve also been testing out some new camping gear. Thanks for following along on our journey. Until next time, cheers from Ray at Love RV and Boat!
