I’m back with another review for Bluetti, this time on their new Elite 300 series portable power station. I’ve previously checked out their smaller AC70 and Elite 100 models, which are great for easy carrying, but this one packs a serious punch. It’s the smallest unit on the market with 3,014 watt-hours of LiFePO4 battery capacity in a compact footprint, about 1 ft by 1 ft by 15 inches.
Fair Disclosure: I received a free review sample of the product
It weighs just under 60 pounds and has top handles that make it manageable with a friend if needed. They redesigned the fans with front and back grills, allowing the Elite 300 to sit in tighter spaces while still cooling properly. It delivers 2,400 watts continuous from the inverter, with up to 4,800 watts of surge, perfect for motor-startup loads.
On the AC side, there are four 20-amp outlets plus a handy 30-amp RV plug so I can connect my RV power cord directly. It won’t match full shore power, but it runs most RV appliances like microwaves, hair dryers, and convection ovens just fine, as long as I manage the load. I really like how the plugs are oriented, so cords don’t block the others.
For DC, there’s the standard 12V 10-amp cigarette lighter plus a new 12V 30-amp XT90 outlet that’s awesome for high-draw items like my macerator pump, water transfer pump, or air compressor for topping up tires. It handled all of them without issue, even ones that overload standard 10-amp ports.
The solar and DC inputs are up to 1,200 watts at 12-60 volts, 22 amps. I tested it successfully with 850 watts of solar panels while running power tools.
The display is simple and shows everything I need, including runtime estimates, though it washes out in bright sunlight. However, the Bluetti IOS/Android app is perfect for detailed monitoring and control. The app lets me tweak tons of advanced settings, including UPS mode, time-of-use charging, silent or turbo modes, generator limits, and even extreme-weather auto-charging. There’s also easy access to clean the fans later, which is a nice touch for dusty environments.
Bluetti Elite 300 Review Part 1 – Demos & Features
Overall, I think Bluetti nailed this one. It’s a compact, powerful option tailored for weekend RVers or boaters who want quick off-grid power without a full inverter install. I plan to use it on my boat this summer, paired with their Charger 2 system, and will share how that goes.
Boat Installation & Demo with Elite 300 Power Station & B300K Battery Pack
I’m back with the installation of the new Bluetti Charger 2 system on my boat. I paired it with my Elite 300 power station and a B300K expansion battery for a total of over 5,700 watt-hours of power storage. I mounted the Charger 2 and the big expansion battery under a seat in the salon, where it’s out of the way but easy to access.
It serves as a handy backup to my main lithium house banks for those extended cloudy days, while also giving us a convenient spot to charge phones, tablets, and other devices. I can even plug in the boat’s water heater if needed. The system connects to my starter batteries to draw power from the alternator and also accepts solar input.
The install was straightforward with the provided wiring, and I added a breaker for easy on/off control. I keep it in silent charging mode so it only draws about 250 to 300 watts from the alternator, which keeps things cool and safe on my older diesel engine. The app makes everything easy to monitor and adjust, including priority charging and a really cool reverse charging feature that lets the expansion battery top up my starter batteries if they ever run low.
During a recent trip, it worked great, recharging the Elite 300 portable power station while we cruised and then powering small loads at anchor with solar support. This setup works equally well for motorhomes and gives me a solid, flexible backup system on the boat.
