In this video, we head out for the season from our home base in Lund, BC. First stop is Gorge Harbour to make sure the anchoring gear is working well after I overhauled the windlass this spring. Then over to Campbell River’s Fisherman’s Wharf Marina for what turned into a 1-week stay on the dock.

We needed to address our faulty Starlink dish, which was replaced, and then a string of windy days kept us there. May 26th, we got a little weather window in the morning and headed out around Quadra Island and north up to the sheltered Evans Bay on Read Island. We spent a few days here last June and loved ot so the return trip was in order.

Plans are to head northward, but Mother Nature’s steady, strong northwest winds are keeping us pinned down south here for the foreseeable future. We may head over to Desolation Sound for a while. Stay tuned!
