Heated Blanket Review – BougeRV 12VDC 45W

So, following up on the BougeRV diesel heater from last video, I’m also testing their new 12V electric heating blanket, 48W DC, with zoned heating (full body, upper, core, foot, etc.), five heat levels, 1-3 hour timer (up to 10 via app), and cape/wrap mode for cozy fireside sits, especially for Anne on chilly days.

The blanket features a soft inner/cozy outer fabric, clips for wrapping (which can be a bit fiddly), a hidden connector pouch, and plugs directly into any 12V socket. Additionally, the app mirrors the physical button controller.

It cycles to regulate temperature, drawing approximately 50 watts at maximum, and my thermal camera showed temperatures of 80-88°F in the hotter upper body and foot areas. Anne loved the adjustable warmth and materials, but wanted it 4-6 inches wider for better wrap-around. We’ll get tons of use out of this winter. The blanket packs neatly in its bag for storage.
