In this video, I unboxed and installed a premium Blackvue dash cam system into my 2018 Ram 3500 pickup. The DR750X-3Ch Plus model contains three cameras: a front camera, a rear camera, and an interior infrared camera.

Fair Disclosure: The review sample was sent free of charge by BlackBoxMyCar.com. However, I didn’t receive any monetary compensation for the video.

I was excited to see that the package included a hardwire kit, which I used to fully take advantage of the dash cam’s extended parking and cloud features. I found the installation process to be relatively straightforward.

After the installation was complete, I decided to test out the cameras by taking some footage of my surroundings. I was impressed with the clarity and sharpness of the video, as well as the wide-angle lens that captured everything in my line of sight.

I also decided to show off my DIY battery backup that I had created to keep the dash cam running even when the truck was turned off. I thought it was a nice addition to the system.

Finally, I checked out the cloud feature in action, which allows me to access my footage remotely from anywhere with an internet connection. It’s a great feature for keeping an eye on my truck when I’m away from it.
