In this video, I repurpose a Haloview RD7R Wireless Rear View Camera System for my RV for use on our old CHB trawler boat.

I hooked up three cameras to monitor different views of our boat’s Ford Lehman diesel engine. The fourth camera I mounted up high on the mast for a clear view of what is behind us. The 7-inch display gets attached to the windshield via a suction cup magnetic mount just above the chart plotter.

For the engine cameras, I tied into the existing engine bay lighting circuit. I used the anchor lighting circuit for the mast camera, and the display uses an existing 12V power socket at the helm.
