Another update on our 2025 summer boating season. Starting at Kwatsi Bay, explored the calm waters and stunning scenery in our dinghy, capturing the bay’s beauty, nesting swallows, and a unique rock wall.

We then set off for Glendale Cove, a new destination for us, cruising down Tribune Channel and into the glacier-fed Knight Inlet. Along the way, we spotted humpback whales feeding and resting. Navigating down Tribune Channel, through a narrow Sargeaunt Passage, and up about half of Knight Inlet, we reached Glendale Cove after 5-6 hours of cruising.

We anchored in 7-10 meters of water at the entrance to the cove, a short dinghy ride from the grizzly bear viewing areas. The water turned turquoise, and we saw grizzly bears, including mothers with cubs, foraging near the estuary.
