In this video, I give you a look around the anchorage of Grace Harbour in the Desolation Sound Marine Park, British Columbia. Then we head over to Lund to pull the boat out of the water and onto dry-land storage for the winter. Along the way, we get to see a bunch of sea lions in Malaspina Inlet.

Vestri Winterized, Cleaned and Cover On – Back Living in Our RV

Just about have Vestri set up for the winter. I washed the decks and the hull, gave Big Blue a bath, and got the canvas cover on. It came with the boat from a company in Ladysmith, three sections that zip together, with poles and snaps so rain and snow run off. A door lets me climb in on a ladder. I run one cord into a pair of little heaters, about 80 watts, just warm to the touch, so the moisture works its way out and everything stays dry until spring. Inside, I leave a light on for the boatyard guy, disconnect the batteries, and shut everything down. I flush the raw water cooling with fresh water, finish with pink antifreeze, pull the impeller, change the oil, and drain the water heater and plumbing.
