In this video, I test and tear down a new LiFePO4 battery offering from Renogy. The DuoHeat Tech—Core Mini 12V 100Ah is one of the most compact 100Ah lithium batteries on the market.
Renogy is a well-known company that has been around for a while with economical price points. It is a group 22NF, 45% smaller than similar batteries, and lightweight at only around 21 lbs. It also has IP65 weather resistance and a 100 amp continuous discharge rated BMS with a peak 300A (10 secs). It includes two heating pads rated at 110 watts for low-temperature operations, making it a decent choice if you need a small battery for cold-weather camping.
Due to the compact design, there are some trade-offs. My main drawbacks are the lack of a Bluetooth app and poor serviceability. The battery is tightly sealed, and inside components are held together with tape and glue rather than a rigid frame.
