We’ve been hard at work in the boatyard getting our boat ready for launch, which we had to delay by a week to tackle some key projects. I polished and waxed the hull for a protective shine, and the bottom paint was touched up, plus a hidden issue under the keel was repaired. The teak swim platform got a full sanding and refresh, complete with new rope accents, and I patched a pesky leak in the dinghy.

Inside, we’re organizing supplies, testing the solar power systems, and upgrading with a new rear camera and floodlights for safety. I also replaced the old marine barbecue with a portable Weber and added a portable air conditioner for added comfort. The interior is coming together nicely. Anne treated Sunbrella upholstery and repainted trim and cabinetry in the fore and aft cabin heads. With the boat nearly ready, we’re excited to hit the waters of coastal BC soon!
