I have a handy new tool to add to my collection: a thermal imaging camera from Kaiweets. I also have their digital multimeter and clamp-on ammeter. The thermal imaging camera will help me quickly check temperatures on things like engines, wheels, electrical equipment, and appliances. It is also another tool for troubleshooting and repairing problems. I’m sure you will see it used in future repair videos.
*Fair Disclosure* I received the product as a complimentary review sample. However, I received no monetary compensation and have complete editorial control of the content.
In this video, I give you a physical look, explain the features/settings and PC software, and show real-world photos and videos of things around the RV.

Kaiweets Thermal Camera Demos on my Boat
I’ve been using the Kaiweets KTI-W01 thermal camera on my boat to monitor engine temperatures, which was my primary purpose for getting it. In this video, I demonstrate its functionality by checking the engine’s hot spots, the stuffing box on the prop shaft, and the solar controller for any problematic heat in electrical connections. The camera also records videos and takes photos, allowing me to capture detailed temperature readings, like the coolant reservoir’s high heat or the alternator running cool, which helps ensure everything is operating correctly.
I can see temperature differentials, like the stuffing box ranging from 59.1°F to 76.8°F, confirming it’s running correctly. The camera’s versatility in capturing these details makes it a handy tool for boat maintenance and beyond. I also explore other uses for the thermal camera on the boat, such as quickly checking the ocean water temperature to see if it’s warm enough for swimming.
