In this video, I give you a look at my new 22-foot RV ladder flag pole and the mounting hardware kit. What’s included, features and how it mounts.
Recently Anne gifted me a new weather station that is also pole-mounted, so I repurposed my previous flag pole holder hardware for it. Since my old flag pole was getting pretty beat up after 7 years of use, I decided to buy myself a brand new pole and holder kit.
I went with a 22-foot pole kit sold by a company called FlagPole Buddy. The kit is on the pricey side, but the hardware appears to be of high quality. I ended up paying $139 (taxes included) as a special RV Show price. (www.flagpolebuddy.com)
FlagPole Buddy Review Video
Review Update After 4 1/2 Years
I’m back with a longer-term review of the RV flagpole. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. This fiberglass pole has proven easy to use and store and performs well. A few things I disliked were the plastic flag ring holders and pole holder plastic thumb screw. It becomes hard to turn and needs frequent lubrication.
Also, I found the section pin clips noisy, and some of the holes for them went egg-shaped. Nothing I couldn’t solve, though. I bought better metal flag rings and used gaffer tape to quiet the pin rings.
