This video shows dashcam footage from my trip into Blythe, California, from some free dispersed camping land near Ehrenberg, Arizona. I needed to head to Standage Tire and Auto for replacement trailer tires. The existing tires were due for a change, and a fast leak in one hastened that happening. Luckily, my TPMS alerted me in time to pull off the highway safely.
Rather than take the whole trailer to the tire shop, I took a couple in at a time and had them mount and balance the new tires. It’s more work for me, but I can make sure the studs and rims are in good shape and set the torque and PSI when reinstalling them. Also, I don’t have to worry about navigating the rig in and out of a tight/busy parking lot. I have a pair of bottle jacks, a breaker bar, a torque wrench, and a cordless impact wrench for the job.
Once again, I chose Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 tires, which will be my third set. These tires are solid-feeling, made in the USA, and have a speed rating of 87 MPH.
