In this video, I install a UVC purification faucet on our vintage CHB trawler that we use as a liveaboard home in the summers on the British Columbia coast. With the combo of the GoBluTech 3-stage filter system and their drinking water faucet, we will have clean water for drinking and cooking.

To install, I had to find a suitable location in the boat’s cramped kitchen counter area, drill a 5/8ths inch hole in the counter, and mount the faucet. Then I install a T-valve by splicing into the cold water feed and attaching a 1/4″ tube between it and the UV faucet. The T-valve had Shark Bite connectors, making it a breeze to connect to the boat’s PEX water tubing.

The final stage of the installation involved connecting the UV purifier to the power source. Included in the kit was a 120VAC to 12V adapter, which I plugged into the same outlet as my boat’s refrigerator. All in all, the installation was easy, taking about an hour, and it looks great! It’s nice that they were able to incorporate the UV right into the faucet, making for a simple install.
