In this video, footage of our explorations of Evans Bay, Read Island, BC. In the first part, we meander along the shoreline, scouting out different potential anchorages and seeing what is on shore. In the second half, we find a beautiful, peaceful place to anchor, situated at the farthest end of the bay, up a small arm.
A highlight of our short stay was a dinghy ride to a nearby rock wall to view all the fascinating creatures that were exposed at an extremely low tide. There were loads of sea cucumbers, anemones, kelp crabs, jellies, sea stars, etc. Our trip was cut short by a need to resupply and a required dentist visit, but I’m sure we’ll return in the future.
