Fixed Leaky Inflatable Dinghy Using Seamax 2-Part PVC Glue

Last season, our Highfield dinghy developed small pinholes, causing slow leaks, especially in a section on the davits. Previous glue kits from marine stores didn’t hold up, so I tried this pricier two-part system with a hardener. Seamax two-part patch kit for PVC inflatables.

I mixed it as instructed, cleaned and sanded the surface, applied acetone, and coated both the boat and patch with the mixture. After smoothing it with a spoon and setting a weight for 24 hours, I waited 48 hours before inflating. The patch has remained intact for over a month now, even in water, and has successfully sealed multiple pinholes.
