In this video, I install a Titan 12V inline vent fan to boost the airflow into our fifth-wheel trailer bedroom using the RV furnace. Due to the location of the bedroom heating ducts and the distance from the furnace fan, it has been relatively weak. The booster fan helps get more heated air where we want it at night.

Installation involved cutting a section of the round flexible ducting in the basement storage compartment to insert the vent fan. Because the vent fan was 2 1/4 inches round and the duct was 4 inches, I had to purchase a couple of adapters.

After physically installing the fan, the next task was to acquire 12VDC power for it. I spliced it into a nearby 12V light fixture and added a fuse to protect the wiring. Then, I mounted the control box and inserted the temperature sensor into the nearby heating duct.

Early impressions are that more air is flowing out of the bedroom vent. I’ll have to test it for a while in cold weather to see if it has significantly impacted the bedroom heating.
