As all experienced RVer know our kitchen cupboards can quickly become a jumbled mess. Every rig is a little different, and some experimentation is required to find the best spot for each piece. Over the years I’ve figured out the best storage arrangement for my plates, mugs, pots, pans, appliances, utensils, etc.
However, one item has been a pain. Our plastic cup area is always a mess after each travel day. Cupboard room is limited, so the cups are stacked, but the height makes them easily tip over. I could store them somewhere else, but I like to have them right over the sink for easy access.
The other day as I was cleaning and reorganizing the kitchen cupboards for an upcoming RV trip I thought of an easy way to keep the plastic cup stacks in place. I utilized a thick rubber band (like the kind they wrap broccoli bunches together with). Voila! No more falling over cups.
Luckily I have a small plastic crate in the cupboard to store other things so could easily attach the rubber band to its frame. In another location, I used a small D-ring (like used in picture hanging) screwed into the cabinet wall.
