In this video, I give you a tour around the Pedder Bay Marina and RV Resort near Victoria on Vancouver Island, BC.
We spent the month of October there in 2019, and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s a relatively expensive park but worth the cost, in my opinion. We paid near 900 C$ for a monthly rate, and that was for one of the cheaper campsites and in the offseason to boot. The RV sites are spacious, though, and the hookups modern.
The biggest plus for me personally was the laid back rural location, right up my alley. The setting on an ocean inlet is just beautiful, with plenty of hiking trails and nature/wildlife viewing to be had. You are also close to recreational opportunities on the wilder west coast side of the island, especially if you are a fisherman, into kayaking, or beachcombing.
However, a big drawback for some RVers would also be the location. Not so much for me because I spent a good part of my life in Victoria. Been there and done that. But if you are specifically here to check out Victoria’s numerous tourist attractions, just know that this park is a relatively long drive away from town. Also, at certain times of the day, traffic can be a nightmare getting into or out of Victoria from this direction.
