In part one of this review, I unboxed, set up, and demonstrated Reolink Argus 4 Pro Wireless Security Cameras. I have also reviewed and used the Reolink GO and Argus 3 Pro models with excellent results. I often use the footage in my RV and boating travel videos. I especially love the easy time-lapse feature.

Argus 4 Pro sample footage

The new Argus 4 Pro model introduces 180-degree coverage capabilities. It’s essentially two 4K security cams in one package. The images can be stitched together to make one super-wide-angle photo or video. So far, in early testing, it’s working well. I will use the product over the next few months and return with a longer-term review.

*Fair Disclosure* I received this Reolink Product free of charge in exchange for a review. However, I received no monetary compensation and have full editorial control of the content.

Testing as Game Cam

Lately, I’ve been using the Argus 4 Pro, which I reviewed a while back, as a game cam. Works pretty well. I was getting some nighttime videos of a little Long-Tailed Pocket Mouse when, the other evening, a much larger visitor showed up!

Reolink Argus Pro Security Camera Review – Longer Term Update

In this video, I share an update on my experience with two Reolink security cameras: the Argus 3 Pro, which I’ve used for two years, and the Argus 4 Pro, in use for nearly a year. Both were sent as free review samples, but my thoughts are honest. The Argus 3 Pro has been a reliable companion on my RV and boat, enduring Pacific Northwest rain with only minor yellowing on its casing. Paired with a solar panel, it stays charged for RV trips, though I recharge it weekly via USB on the boat. The Argus 4 Pro, with its unique 180-degree stitched view, performs flawlessly as a security camera, mounted with zip ties on my boat’s mast or using its included mount and solar panel on the RV. Both cameras handle diverse conditions well, delivering clear footage despite lens crackling or brightness mismatches in certain lighting.

I showcase the cameras’ features, including live viewing through the Reolink desktop software, which lets me check on my RV or boat remotely via Wi-Fi. The time-lapse feature is a favorite, easily set up to create stunning videos. Sample footage highlights their performance: the Argus 3 Pro captures wide-angle desert scenes, while the Argus 4 Pro’s 4K resolution shines on British Columbia’s coastline. From birds and mice triggering motion detection to my wife and me cruising along, the cameras deliver vibrant, high-contrast visuals, even on rainy days. Despite minor quirks—like occasional brightness differences in the Argus 4 Pro’s dual-lens view these cameras have proven durable and effective for RVing and boating. I give them a thumbs up.
