We recently left Nimmo Bay after a wonderful five-night stay, reluctantly pulling ourselves away to start heading south as the weather might soon change. In this video, I share the stunning scenery as we motored through narrow channels, carefully navigating strong tidal currents by waiting for the perfect slack tide.

We left Nimmo Bay late in the afternoon and arrived at Carriden Bay, a new anchorage for us. It turned out to be a delightful spot with a small estuary filled with birds and a breathtaking view of Mount Stephens, which I could only partially see from Nimmo Bay due to its proximity.

The next day, we set out for a longer journey to Kwatsi Bay via Tribune Channel. Passing familiar spots like Sullivan Bay and Moore Bay, we traveled through Penphrase Channel and up Tribune Channel to reach Kwatsi Bay. This place is one of our favorites, situated in a sheltered, serene setting surrounded by steep mountains.

Although the warm, dry August weather meant no dramatic waterfalls this time, the bay’s beauty was still captivating. We anchored in Kwatsi Bay, finding a nice spot despite its depth, and plan to stay at least one night, possibly more, to soak in the tranquility of this spectacular location.
