In this video, I take a look at and demo a 450W folding portable solar panel from ZOUPW. The panel is very similar in design to the Renogy 400W I’ve been using for the last couple of years. In my mid-January test, it delivered up to 360 watts to my Bluetti Elite 100 power station, which is not bad given the low winter sun angle.
Included with the panel are a padded carrying bag, ground stakes, and a 15-foot 12 AWG power cord with a variety of connectors for easy attachment to portable power station inputs.
Note: this was sent to me as a free review sample
I plan to use it on our boat this summer, so I will come back with a second video in June featuring a summer high-sun-angle output test and any further pros and cons I may encounter.
Main Features:
- 25% high conversion efficiency using premium N-Type monocrystalline cells with 16-busbar (16BB) technology for better low-light and long-term performance
- Foldable and highly portable design, weighing approximately 29.5 lbs (30% lighter than similar rigid panels) with aerospace-grade fiberglass construction
- IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating, featuring durable ETFE coating and sealed lamination for outdoor reliability
- Reinforced adjustable kickstands (up to 45°) for quick setup and optimal sun angle
- Shade-resistant with integrated smart bypass diodes to maintain output and prevent hot spots in partial shading
- Broad compatibility for high-capacity power stations (40-60V input), including a plug-and-play 4-in-1 adapter cable (XT60, Anderson, DC7909, DC8020 connectors)
- Compact dimensions: Folded ~30.4 × 34.6 × 3.5 inches; Unfolded ~121.8 × 34.6 × 0.8 inches
- Wide operating temperature range (-4°F to 140°F) and corrosion-resistant frame for rugged use in RV, camping, or off-grid scenarios
